Sister brand Royal Caribbean International also came in the top five at 4th place.
The accolade comes within months of Celebrity Cruises launching its first new ship for six years. Robin Shaw vice president and managing director, UK & Ireland said:
“Celebrity Cruises is enjoying a fantastic growth period especially marked by the new Celebrity Solstice launching later in November this year. Real readers voting is based on their experiences, therefore feedback and the award is particularly special”
The award also comes within a month of winning the best large ships category in the UK Condé Nast Traveller awards highlighting that the brand is striving forward and winning recognition for the first-class experience it is known for.
Readers of the Guardian, Observer and guardian.co.uk nominate their favourite travel experiences in the acclaimed awards. Readers are asked to rate their satisfaction in terms of quality of service and value for money.
