Celebrity Cruises is delighted to announce that its ships have been recognised by the Guardian, Observer and guardian.co.uk Travel Awards 2008 as the best cruise line.

Celebrity Cruises was highlighted as scoring top marks out of all cruise lines, by more than 17,000 readers who returned questionnaires in the annual survey, now in its 22nd year. The winners were announced at a ceremony held in Fes, Morocco, on Saturday 12th October.

The accolade comes within months of Celebrity Cruises launching its first new ship for six years. Celebrity Solstice will offer a number of groundbreaking facilities including the first ever lawn club at sea, live glassblowing show (in conjunction with the Corning Museum of glass), new AquaClass category of balcony staterooms, a wide range of dining venues and new theatre productions through an exclusive partnership with Poet Theatricals.
