WHAT a difference four months can make. Back in October 2008 Norwegian Cruise Lines was in an unpleasant disagreement with the builders of their new F3 – Third Generation Ships – Aker Ship yards of France.Three of these $1 billion next generation super liners were to be built, that has now been reduced to just one.
Norwegian Cruise Lines named that one new 4,200-passenger ship the Norwegian Epic confirming she will sail year-round to the Caribbean from Miami.
Epic will be the biggest and most innovative Freestyle Cruise ship in NCL’s 14 cruise ship fleet.
When the concept first blasted onto our radar in October 2007, NCL hailed the concept as very impressive on a grand scale.
With the cruise industry’s first New Wave staterooms Epic is set to lift the bar in levels of comfort including NCL’s first all adults only pool deck area.
The ship will sail Western Caribbean itinerary including: Costa Maya, Mexico; Roatan, Bay Islands, Honduras; and Cozumel, Mexico.
Epic will also sail Eastern Caribbean too: Philipsburg, St Maarten, St Thomas, US Virgin Islands and Nassau, Bahamas.
