ELDERLY couple have just vanished off Carnivals' Paradise cruise ship.
Armed cops and FBI agents combed the passenger liner when it docked at Long Beach Harbour in January, but they could not be found.
Carnival admitted they don’t know where they are, or how the aged coupled got off their cruise ship. A spokesperson said: “It does not appear the couple disembarked in either Catalina Island or Ensenada.”
US Coast Guard suspended their sea and aerial search saying that a person would only survive four maybe six hours in waters 59 degrees off the coast of Southern California.
Cops searched the track the ship had taken during the cruise – from Catalina Island to Ensenada and back to Long Beach – but it turned up nothing.
Coast Guard are now asking other ships in the area to keep their eyes open.
The FBI, who are keeping an open mind, searched the couples cabin, which had the door locked but the door leading to the balcony unlocked. A spokesperson said the FBI will continue to investigate the bizarre disappearance.
