The clique might well ask, has easyCruise gone mad, or are they stupid or in fear of the UK credit crunch and therefore taking advantage of any opportunity to sell its bucket and spade cabins, the size of which my mother would say: “you couldn’t swing a cat in, let alone sleep in.” Paul Ellerby, the easyCruise man in marketing and sales for the UK told the travel trade this week that only Turkey and Greece 14-night itineraries would be available through the Thomas Cook owned brand. But, in all fairness to easyCruise, it is great for students or those who want to get up close to small and interesting ports, which the huge 78,000 ton liners can’t. My advice is always shop around, even for these cheap and cheerful packages, because hotels4u.com and easyCruise offer the same packages but at different prices. We checked hotels4u.com on the 15th Jan 2009 at 17:22 for the following; we were quoted a price of £1299.20 + Beverage Package Adult x 2 at £76.72: easyCruise Life Greek Islands & Turkey Check in Date: 03 October 2009 We then tested easyCruise’s own website for the same package with the following results: Euro 1974.00 On top of this price, you then need to find your own flights.
