A brawl between two families from Manchester apparently broke out over who was drinking the better champagneFESTIVE cheer soon turned to ‘chavs’ brawling between themselves on the luxury cruise liner Ventura in the Caribbean.

It’s been reported by some Sunday national papers, that families, apparently from Manchester, UK brawled over who had the most expensive champagne onboard the £7,500 seven-night cruise.

P&O are now braced for a flood of complaints from passengers, when some of the youths supposedly tried to set fire to a Christmas tree.

As the world’s economic situation takes a deeper dive, would-be passengers who had already paid a 10% deposit cancelled at the last minute as they could not find enough cash to pay the final bill. This prompted P&O to fill 3,300 places at rock bottom deals.

Longtime cruisers told how sun beds were reserve all day with towels and how it was alleged underage children went to the ships bars to stock up on alcohol.

The ship’s captain was booed as he tried to count in the New Year, ships officer were abused and stewards had food thrown at them across dining rooms.

As tempers heated and the bad weather set in, the £330 million liner had to miss three of its six ports, making an unscheduled stop and throw-off two of youths.

Passengers, some who paid upwards of £8,000 for their families, said "people had picked up tickets for £900 per person a few weeks before the cruise started".

One passenger who had been on 14 cruises said: "This one was definitely the worst. My friend saw a 14-year-old boy who was blind drunk in the lift. We also heard that a fight took place because a waiter wouldn’t serve alcohol to a 14-year-old and the boy’s father became aggressive.”

Other passenger's who had flown thousand's of miles from Wilmslow, Cheshire, said: “We paid £15,000 for two cabins. When we got on board we heard people had got it much cheaper. It was full of chavs. Kids were trying to torch the Tamarind lounge and there was a big fight between two Manchester families.

“Someone was cut with a broken glass on New Year’s Eve". It was further alleged that a male passengers was  threatened when he tried to sit on a sun lounger - somebody had tried to reserve it all day by leaving a towel on it.”
