MEAN Royal Caribbean is imposing a late night hidden tax on anyone ordering a mid-night snack in their cabins between midnight and 5am.
The cruise operator, which posted millions of US dollors in profits last year, plans to roll out its stingy food tax across all of its fleet by end of January 2009.That means, customers who pre-booked back in 2008, will only see the "new" food tax when they order, or check-out of their cabin on departure. Royal Caribbean did not return Holidayinsiders.com calls to their press office's in the UK, Europe or USA. But, we did check their online website and it clearly stated that "Late night service charges apply, if ordering in your cabin." Updated from their 2008 policy.
