CELEBRITY Solstice has sailed into service, following her departure from the Meyer Werft shipyard, 29th September. The 2,850-passenger liner made its way down the River Eerns, clapped and cheered by tens of thousands of residents and spectators lining the river banks. Solstice has now set sail for a transatlantic voyage to Fort Lauderdale, due to arrived early November. The ship is due to be named on the 14th November, before sailing her maiden cruise on the 23rd November, a series of alternating seven-night Eastern Caribbean cruises roundtrip from Fort Lauderdale, calling at San Juan, St Maarten, St Kitts, and Tortola.
